Artisan Deluxe  SFC # 029

Body: Honduran Mahogany - Chambered
Top: 5A Flame Maple
Neck: Honduran Mahogany
Fretboard: Old-growth Brazilian Rosewood
Headcap: Flame Maple
Pickups: Pasadena "JoBo" Set
Bridge: TonePros ToM and StopTail
Ivoroid Purfling
Mastodon Ivory Firesuns/Sterling Silver Centers
Traditional LP electronics with a Push/Pull to split the neck pickup
Color: Black Cherry

Since SFC-27 & SFC-29 were completed within a couple days of each other, I had the opportunity to A/B them since the specifications were near identical. Same body thickness, neck and fretboard woods, scale length, pickups, bridge, etc. The difference being the body is chambered on this one.
I didn't tell Nick that it was, but we discussed the tonal differences between the 2 after each of us ran them thru their paces. We agreed that #29 sounded a little more jangly and not as aggressive as the solid #27 which had more of the traditional LP thump.
Not huge differences, but enough to notice. Of course, they both sounded great, just had slightly different flavors...very interesting.
I dig the ivoroid purfling against the deep reds too...great idea and the color/flame is mesmerizing.

Enjoy it Jim, rock it and thank you once again!!!

Ron
