Mick is never one to let me off easy . This time it was the Sustainer system "under" a carve top...tight yes, but it's in there. What a rocker! This Thorn needs to be played, and played hard. Tons of tonal options including a splitter and a phase switch for the middle pickup - you'll can tweak all day and still not discover it's possibilities. Flick on the Sustainer with the 3-way option and the Gain pot...you're in another world.
The pickup combo had me convinced that I would have to crank this through a really high gain rig to sound good. Wrong, I dialed in a Fender Deluxe with a graphic EQ and a Greer Ghetto Stomp...it sounded amazing! Lots of harmonics with thick chunk backing it up. The sustain, without the Sustainer on, was just enough to let it sing forever.
Mick, let's hear your thoughts and fill us in on the all the little details you requested.

And, just in case I haven't said it enough, thank you so very much for all the hard work you put into the website and galllery...you rock! Now, plug this bad horsie in and turn it up!!!

Cheers!
Ron
