It sounded very sweet through Eric and Wes's London head and cabinet, and the split tones were a real serendipity. I didn't really mess with it overdriven, but I expect it will excel at that. More when I get home to hook it up to the Soldano.

Oh, don't worry - me & Eric cranked it :)

The V-PAFs are pretty hot, but very articulate. Possibly the best humbucker I've heard from DiMarzio.

What slays me about the guitar isn't the pickups though - it's the neck heel. I swear I had no idea how uncomfortable a Les Paul really was until I picked up Ron's SFC and experienced a truly comfortable, ergonomic neck heel on a single-cutaway guitar.

I'm telling y'all, the heel on this thing makes a PRS Singlecut Trem look like ... look like ... well, feel like ... um, a big, ten-ton heavy thing.

The Soldano really likes the SC-X. The sustain... you could go out for a bite. I can't get over how good this is sounding. I gotta wire up something simple so I can do a few clips.

+1 about the heel. It's so comfy it's like it's not even there.

Ron, the way you have the neck carved by the heel makes it feel like it's an asymetric.   Whatever it is, it's great.
