Limba + P-90s + Thorn tremolo...That was e's formula for the classic #10 and six years later it still kills. The Lollar / Rio pickup combo is an excellent pair - clear creamy neck tones & grindy growl bridge tones - sounds good to me!
In the looks department, oh baby!!! A tear drop silver burst with sterling silver purfling, the second James suggested that I was hook line and stinkered. There was no way he was going to change those specs on me, this had to be built.
It's quite a departure from the norm and James' #179 & #180 are at both ends of the spectrum, but I think they will make for an awesome pair. Thank you James, enjoy your new Thorns!
