Artisan Deluxe  # 080

Top: 5A Quilt in Deep Blue
Back: 2-pc. Black Limba.
Neck & Fretboard: Brazilian Rosewood.
Pickups: Rio Grande TX & BBQ w/ nickel covers.
Vol x 1, Tone x 1 (Push/pull to split pickups), 3-way toggle.
Bridge: Thorn 1-pc. tremolo.
No faux binding with a natural back...a first :)
Paua purfling Body Top & Sides / Fretboard / Headstock.
Reverse Firesun fretboard inlays.
Big Firesun inlay between the pickups.
Per Rue's request, I made a valiant effort to wrap a couple speed knobs in paua...not bad I guess.0]

This was one of the last Brazilian neck blanks I had last year. Certainly not the darkest piece any of us have seen, which was why it hadn't been selected earlier, but I must admit that it turned out gorgeous. The feel and tone ain't too shabby either:b .

Initial tone report is punchy and spanky. The Rio's sound just right in this wood combo with a ton of grind and girth.
I was blown away by how great the neck and the neck+bridge sounded when split...killer tele!

Thanks Reu, enjoy buddy!

Ron
